For the 2017 School Exclusion process Douglas Public Health Network identified 800 students who were incomplete and 110 with no record. The number of exclusion letters sent to parents declined by over 18% from 2016 to 2017. The final immunization rates for 2016 showed that Douglas County has the 11th highest immunization rate for kindergartners among Oregon’s 34 counties.
Data regarding how many students were actually excluded will be added after February 15, 2017, which is Oregon’s School Exclusion day for anyone not caught up on immunizations.
