Communicable Disease
Sexually Transmitted Infections
What DPHN offers
- Douglas Public Health works to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in Douglas County by providing education, referrals, and partner services to those in our community that have tested positive or been exposed to sexually transmitted infections.
What we don’t offer
- Clinical services – DPHN does not have a clinic. We are not a doctor’s office and do not provide testing or treatment. We partner with the Aviva Reproductive Health Program to provide these services.
Who should get tested
- Anyone who is sexually active or has unprotected oral, anal, or vaginal sex. People who have new or multiple sexual partners, or partners who have an STI, should get tested. For more information, check out the STI Booklet
