About Us

The Douglas Public Health Network (DPHN) is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the well-being of the people in Douglas County, Oregon. As a 501(c)(3) corporation, DPHN works to deliver vital public health services and support to our community.

In 2015, Douglas County reimagined its approach to public health services. After a comprehensive evaluation, the county decided to maintain its public health authority while continuing to offer essential services like vital records, restaurant and pool inspections, and drinking water safety. To address additional public health needs, the Douglas Public Health Network (DPHN) was established to manage administrative and non-clinical services.

DPHN focuses on critical areas such as emergency preparedness and response, immunization support, reproductive health support services, communicable disease surveillance, tobacco prevention and education, overdose prevention, and public health modernization. Our work is guided by a board of directors that includes a county commissioner, along with representatives from health organizations including the local hospital, coordinated care organizations (CCOs), Umpqua Community Action Network (UCAN), Aviva Health, and ADAPT Integrated Health Care.

We collaborate with several nonprofit partners to expand our impact, such as UCAN, which provides WIC and nurse visiting services, and Aviva Health, which offers women's health, family planning, and school-based health services. Aviva Health also partners with DPHN to deliver immunization and sexually transmitted infection (STI) treatment services.

In compliance with existing laws, it is the policy and practice of Douglas Public Health Network to provide an environment free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation based on race, ethnicity, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, genetic information, use of protected leave, military status, marital or family status, pregnancy-related conditions, sexual orientation, sex, gender or gender identity, age, or other class protected by law.  DPHN will provide language services at no cost for people with limited English proficiency.

DPHN is guided by a board of directors.
